At the top of the year we heard solo efforts by each member of cult rap group, Das Racist. The standout, mainly down to the stellar production, was Heems’ Nehru Jackets. From the sounds of it Mike Finito spent a few more minutes cleaning up a few of the beats, and has released the album in instrumental form. This was pretty much the first time many people were aware of NY production, Mike Finito, but these instrumentals getting a solo release will guarantee that this guy will be on most peoples radars.
